Our client is one of the UK's largest retail banking groups. Their goal is to be the best financial services provider in the UK.
They are currently looking to hire a Senior Risk Analyst for their office based in Gloucester. The role requires application of advanced statistical methods in the development and validation of risk models.
You will need to communicate business implication of analysis and progress against plans clearing shower awareness of wider business impacts and recommending business solutions to stakeholders. You will ensure all model development activity meets best practice and ensure compliance within Group Risk standards and FSA regulations, and will provide technical leadership to junior team members on all aspects of advances statistical model building and analytics, managing delivery of their tasks whilst increasing their technical knowledge. You will also be required to develop relationships with key stakeholders and develop and maintain a network of contacts across the risk community, and to build understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative changes.
You will need experience of the development of risk models in retail banking and good knowledge of modern risk management techniques. You will also need to be experienced within the use of statistical software ? eg SAS, SPSS, R, Matlab, C C++, Java, Eviews for developing all types of predictive model suites including on large datasets or time series of data.
