My client is an organisation responsible for overseeing the regulation of legal services within England and Wales. Their ultimate goal is to reform the legal market ensuring that the interests of consumers and the public are at its heart.
The key purpose of this role is to collate and analyse data to support the organisation's research programme in order to evaluate the impact of changes in legal regulation, ensuring the balance is right between safeguarding consumer protection and promoting competition between organisations within the legal sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working in conjunction with the Research Manager on a range of research projects
- Analysing available data, drawing conclusions and presenting findings
- Continuous reporting on access to justice to track changes over time
- Identifying gaps in the data and developing strategy to fill them
- Ad-hoc support within the wider organisation on similar projects
Essential requirements for the role include:
- Strong analytical skills - must be confident analysing large datasets to identify trends
- Experienced user of Excel and Access (SPSS is desirable but not essential)
- Able to relate key findingstrends to the wider real-world context
- Excellent communication skills, happy to network across differing levels of seniority
- Able to work both on own initiative as well as within a team environment
