My client is a leading healthcare company that develops a broad range of pharmaceutical, medical and nutritional products worldwide.
An exciting opportunity now exists to join the Nutrition department, in the position of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Officer.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to:
- Review product formulations (ingredients, nutrient levels) and other technical data associated with new products to ensure they are in line with current legislation.
- Provide advice on suitability of formulations for UK market.
- Develop new product labels and datasheets in line with current legislation.
- Review promotional materials against product data, legislation and internal policies.
- Represent Regulatory Affairs in cross functional New Product Introduction Teams and carry out pre-launch notifications.
- Liaise with manufacturing sites, corporate head-office and affiliate departments on regulatory issues and product development planning.
- Liaise with external regulatory authorities as required.
- Maintain legislation files.
The essential skills for the role will be as follows:
- Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Life Science or related.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent grasp of written English.
