My client has a strong brand with an amazing legacy and some fantastic products and services to get your teeth into. They have 450 stores across the UK and Republic of Ireland, which makes it one of the largest non-food retailers in the country. They differentiate themselves from their competitors through their national store portfolio, broad product range, competitive pricing, customer service and strong brands.
An interesting opportunity has arisen with a major retailor where you will be given the chance to work in quality assurance. This is to ensure any products, packaging or manufacturing processes are compliant legally and fit for purpose.
The role will involve:
- Working alongside the quality and technical managers to provide support and advice
- Looking at new product introductions
- Work with the brand teams to help develop packaging requirements including design
- Work with suppliers to ensure they are happy with any alterations
Requirements:
- 2:1 or above in a science based degree ideally Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Science, or other engineering
- An interest or knowledge in supply chain or manufacturing
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate and ideally knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator
- Commercially aware
