Our client is the corporate banking arm of the one of the largest global banks which operates together with their investment banking and wealth management divisions.

The purpose of this role is to structure financial products that allow our client's customers to conduct international trade on transactions ranging from £4m to £1bn. To achieve this, the successful candidate will create or restructure products and strategy in Excel using financial products such as bills of exchange and promissory note discounting products, and overdrafts for trade. The successful candidate will use Excel to take into account factors on each transaction such as currency fluctuations, risk, timescales, specifics of each trade, insurance, margin, relationship etc to create a bespoke financial product to meet clients needs.

Key Accountabilities:

-Responsible for driving product performance overall
-Delivery of financial performance across the relevant product set
-Controls and compliance
-Define product strategy, including financial plan in partnership with key stakeholders
-Understand and maintain keen awareness of competition
-Product expert internally and support sales efforts as required by coverage team
-Provide executive level reporting for and monitor assigned product set performance (e.g. Bill Discounting, Trade Overdrafts)
-Manage any future required NPA processes and support sales teams in building Trade business
-Develop and maintain professional product marketing
-Raise Trade profile in media via statistical data analysis and macroeconomic trend interpretation initiatives
-Future strategic implementation, project management of Trade expansion e.g. Ireland
-Help build and manage knowledge, data base in relation to market trends.
-Assist Trade Product on various projects and work streams.

Requirements:

-Advanced Excel skills
-Experience in building financial models or financial products
-Advanced organisational skills
-Developed ability to influence and persuade and manage stakeholders with different views and agendas
-Developed ability to problem solve, think outside of the box, break down internal barriers
-Ability to manage and communicate with senior stakeholders.
