My client is a highly innovative, boutique market research agency, with a real passion for understanding the retail landscape and delivering insightful market data.
This company is looking for a Junior Research Analyst to join their market research and data analysis team, to help learn and provide statistical and analytical support across a variety of market research projects. You could be working with clients from a variety of industries from food and drink through to nightclubs, and you will be helping to draw conclusions from data about how products and services are used in the real world.
This role would suit a graduate who has a passion for data and who likes using statistical techniques to come up with exciting and insightful conclusions about the real world. You will contribute ideas to research design and how the data is collected, right through to analysing the results and offering insight from a statistical perspective on the trends observed in the data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on a combination of continuous and ad hoc projects
- Learning and developing their in-house specialist data package
- Creating and developing market research surveys
- Quantitative data analysis
- Producing monthly and quarterly reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 2.1 equivalent degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related
- Experience with a variety of statistical techniques and a desire to further your knowledge in this area
- Good Excel skills, with VBA a bonus
- Experience with software, such as R, MAPLE, Matlab, STATA, SAS or similar
- Excellent communication skills
