The Financial Service business area provides consultancy services to clients within Capital Markets, Retail Banking and Insurance.
Responsibilities:
The below is in the context of sourcing, validating, managing and distributing high quality reference data across the bank. BA activities are therefore focussed on data and operational requirements required to support business reference data needs. Activities are in the context of addressing immediate business needs, but also supporting the definition of a strategic reference data service.
- Define and use a range of tools and techniques in order to facilitate the requirements gathering and specification process on projects. Specify problem definition and define scope and objectives in relation to the business
- Author business and functional requirements documents
- Undertake data gap analyses and identify third party sources for reference data
- Interview users to identify requirements and current processes
- Use business knowledge to identify improvements to current processes and to capture and document requirements
- Design business process architectures and document business process maps
- Develop business cases
- Analyse functional and technical feasibility of requirements with systems and engage suppliers to evaluate vendor offerings against business requirements
- Liaise with technical, business and operations staff at all levels throughout the organisation and use specialist knowledge to engage them appropriately
- Actively coach and train others in business knowledge, soft skills and analysis techniques
- Hold and facilitate workshops, meetings, interviews to collate requirements
- Build on techniques and best practice available to help define Detica?s approach to business analysis
- Support change management activities
- Use appropriate skills to estimate and measure costs and benefits to the business. Consider tangible and intangible factors when considering a problem
Requirements:
-Business Analysis experience within the market or reference data function of a company in the Investment Banking sector (mandatory)
-Experience of working on reference data projects (mandatory), such as implementation of Enterprise Data Platforms and exposure to e.g. Instrument Data, Counterparty Data, SSI and Account Data
