When you join this client as a GUI Developer the training that you receive will equip you with a technical understanding of the client's software applications and an appreciation of global financial markets. Ongoing training and coaching within your team will improve your development skills across the project lifecycle.

You will be working in a creative team, designing amd developing the client side applications used by the customer's client base. The applications, which are high performance trading tools, serve as the glue between the end-user and our trading servers, and are developed with a strong focus on user experience, functionality and visual presentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Design, develop and test new product functionality
-Solve problems and fix bugs in existing product versions
-Review and constructively comment on the work of peers

Requirements:

-Numerate degree at 2:1 or above
-3 A Levels at A-C level (or equivalent)
-Demonstrable skill in one or more of the following: Csharp, Java or C++ (in preferred order)
-Desire to design and develop functionally rich user interfaces
-Strong problem solving skills
-Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
-Desire to build a career in software development

Highly desirable:

-Experience of developing on a Windows platform (ideally MS Visual Studio)
