My client is a technical and professional services recruitment company based on the South Coast, covering permanent, contract and temporary positions. Following their inception in 1984, they are now a listed company of around 300 employees and work with a multitude of the UK?s largest and prestigious businesses.

An affiliated REC member, they are very active in graduate-level hiring both internally and externally and are in the Association of Graduate Recruiters.

The role of Trainee Recruitment Consultant is predominantly sales-based. The company will expect you to be able to develop business relationships with businesses and to sell their recruitment services. This is a hugely competitive industry where you will earn good commission on successfully placing candidates into your clients.

The company have up to 15 vacancies across recruitment areas such as IT, Telecommunications, Oil and Gas, Architecture, Power and Nuclear Energy and Renewable Energy.

All employees are enrolled in the 'Certificate in Recruitment Practice'. On top of this you will get ongoing attention to training in a scheme that has been honed for the last twenty years, benefitting from internal and external courses.

The basic salary for this role starts at £17.5k and in the first year you should expect to earn around £26k given the sales-based nature of the role. You can earn commission on individual performance and also from quarterly team-based incentives. In the second year you should be looking to earn in excess of £35k and will have the opportunity to earn yourself a company car. All employees can take part in the company's share scheme which allows you to buy one share and get another free.

This is a very sociable business with football, netball and cricket teams that you can join. As well as paying for end of quarter drinks they have taken staff on golfing trips and to the races at Goodwood.

The company is based in between Portsmouth and Southampton. Public transport can be a problem so ideally you will be a driver. There is plenty of parking available at their modern offices.
