Established in 2003, my client is a preferred recruitment supplier to a vast number of the UK's premier IT and Telecommunications companies. They have tremendous growth plans in their current offices in Manchester, Birmingham and St. Albans as well as plans to open up new offices in the future.
The business has a fantastic staff retention rate and people who have joined at graduate level have progressed through the company to managers and directors.
There are up to two vacancies available in the Manchester office working in a very close knit team. You will have to be happy working in a small office environment which will be looking to grow ambitiously over the coming years.
Successful candidates will start out their career in business development and lead generation to build client-side sales skills. Within 2-3 months this should move on to resourcing - identifying high-level technology sales professionals through headhunting and networking methods. Within 6 months you could be a fully-fledged Consultant with a financial target, qualifying for the full commission scheme. Bonuses are also paid out in the initial 4-6 month training period.
As a Consultant your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying potential leads, working on specific markets and developing a go-to-market strategy
- Taking detailed and comprehensive job specifications, identifying requirements and providing client feedback
- Managing accounts and ensuring that colleagues are kept up to date with live vacancies
- Setting up and visiting both new and existing clients
- Market map potential targets, via research and headhunting candidates
- Generate new candidates, with use of LinkedIn, ad response, an extensive database and access to job boards
- Coaching candidates on interview skills and preparation, utilising company video briefings and Director expertise
The basic salary is £18-20k and with commission should take this to around £30k in your first year. There are great opportunities to progress in the business which are visible in the current Directors.

- Fluency in a European language would be interesting
