My client is looking for a graduate trainee in their Group Procurement department in their head office. Ideally you will have had a year in industry or have done some relevant post graduate work experience.

The client will happily support further study towards CIPS.

Your day to day duties will be varied and include:

-Manage the Procurement of Indirect expenditure to include Property Fit Out, Facilities Management (and other strategic expenditure as required).
-Adoption of best practice procurement processes to identify key areas of opportunity, to rationalise the supply base and maximise profitability through supplier savings.
-Deliver on-going benefits to the internal customer through supplier relationship management.
-Support the implementation and maintenance of new policies and procedures and ensuring best practice.
-Develop, coordinate and implement procurement strategies.
-Maintain a high level of market knowledge, awareness and representation in the key supply markets.
-Develop measure and monitor KPI's and Supply Level Agreements for categories of expenditure through quarterly reviews with suppliers.
-Manage all central agreements by maintaining a central register of contracts, pricing details and other legal documentation.

Requirements:

-University degree level in a relevant subject.
-Ideally previous experience within a procurement role dealing with a wide variety of products and services and having the ability to become knowledgeable quickly.
-A good level of operational knowledge and excellent commercial and negotiation skills are essential.
-Must have excellent communication skills and business awareness with the ability to interact at all levels.
-Must be geographically flexible as there will be a requirement for travel.
