Our long established and successful client specialise in offshore surveys and positioning services. They operate extensively in the oil and gas industry as well as renewable energy and marine telecomms.
This is an initial 2 year development programme for a recent graduate to begin their career in geographical surveying and to become a Hydrographic Surveyor. This is a varied and interesting role where you will gain an extensive amount of industry exposure and first class training both in a classroom environment and offshore.
The role will involve using your technical expertise in a team environment. You will be based in the head office in Aberdeen, however further down your career path with this company you will be required to work offshore for up to 180 days per year. You will be paid c£80 per day for every day you spend offshore on top of your basic salary and there is also a loyalty bonus.

Requirements:
- A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering 2:2 or above
- Interest in the oil and gas industry
- An excellent team player with a positive outlook
- You must be a good communicator
- Practical in nature and not be adverse to living away from home
- At ease with computer programming and be able to handle most software and hardware (they are not expecting experience in this area just what your course will have covered)
