My client is a dedicated sustainable events company, covering Biofuels Markets, Carbon Markets, Renewable Energy and Corporate Climate Response. They work across the globe and recent events include Brussels, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, New Your, Sao Paolo, Cape Town, Singapore and Chicago.

Reporting to a Research Manager, you would be expected to work on the development of conference agendas and topic areas. The role will be focused on conducting research projects, producing independently researched agendas and conference products, confirming speakers and liaising with key companies in the sector.

You will be expected to be highly organized, researching new topics, bringing the conference project team together and be continuously on the lookout for potential new speakers and partners. Ultimately the relationships the researcher builds with speakers and other industry contacts play a key role in developing new ideas.

You will be encouraged to organise meetings with relevant companies and speakers at events you attend whenever you can. Time management and excellent organisation are essential as you will be responsible for a number of time sensitive products.

Confidence and ability to deal with senior level representatives is a must. This position will suit someone with strong communication skills and strong research skills. Training will be provided in all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

-Producing 6-7 high quality, independently researched conferences per annum with a logical and complete agenda which is an accurate representation of the industry
-Understanding industries and their value chain quickly
-To accurately identify the audience for an event
-To communicate all the necessary information to other members of the team to maximize the revenue and success any one event can achieve
-To research information on the renewable energy sector
-Business development of new industry organisations and event ideas

Requirements:

-2:1 or above in Environmental Science, Life Sciences, Geography or related
-Interest in the renewable energy and climate change sector
-Ability to work in a team environment
-Experience within the environmental sector is desirable but not essential
-Experience in a similar role is ideal but not essential
-Languages not essential but useful
-Must be available to start ASAP
