Our client is a global advisory firm. They have a focus on business litigation and financial investigations, and support some of the biggest organisations worldwide.
An opportunity has arisen to join the firm within their technology practice. This division provides comprehensive consulting and technical investigations services to law firms, corporations and governments around the globe. They help clients protect information and develop legally defensible information management policies. Alongside this they assist clients with legal investigations and electronic discovery.
Based in London the incumbent will be cross-trained in a variety of e-discovery skills and will assist on all phases of e-discovery projects. Duties will include:
- Liaising with clients and project managers regarding client requests and to manage expectations
- Plan and execute electronic evidence collection exercises, on-site and at client premises around the UK and abroad
- Utilise industry standard and bespoke software to access, extract and cull data from electronic evidence sources
- Create SQL scripts and utilise processing applications and tools to meet client requirements
- Being customer-service oriented to meet client deadlines; including working out of business hours when necessary
- Travel as required to ensure high level client service
In order to apply candidates must:
- Have achieved a 2:1 in their degree; preferably in a technical or legal discipline
- Be a self-starter
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have strong problem solving skills
- Be a clear and concise communicator who can perform in a client facing role
- Be flexible in their approach
- Prior knowledge of SQL and relational databases is advantageous as is a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
It would also be beneficial for candidates to have some sort of forensic computing experience and a passion to work in this area.
