They are one of Europe's leading manufacturers of Geotechnical Instruments, in particular vibrating wire instrumentation. They are market leaders in both the UK and Europe.
They are looking for a communicative Technical Support Engineer to provide excellent technical support to their customers via phone, web, email, chat and other support channels as required.
You will apply your technical expertise and critical thinking to troubleshoot, fault find and solve problems within Instrumentation and Monitoring applications.
Responsibilities:
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issues
- Comfortable dealing with customers from different countries and cultures
- Data Analysis; graph excel tables and explain findings to colleagues and customers
- Fault finding; testing products and recreating faults
- Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Document knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articles
Requirements:
- You must hold a degree in Engineering or Physics and also have;
- Strong technical interest
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent client-facing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
