Founded in the 1980s this firm is a true leader in tis field and an internationally recognised brand. They create software for both private and corporate use in the digital media and marketing arenas.
My client is looking to hire a recent graduate (or 2nd jobber) to join them as a Technical Support Engineer. You will be supporting one of the clients key software offerings which is used by many global brands to help them manage, target and optimise their media campaigns.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well recognised global technology firm.
The role is a busy one and your day to day duties will be varied:
- Co-ordinating, responding to, assigning tracking and following up on product problems reported by internal and external clients
-Supporting the software product during the launch of new clients
-Developing custom technical solutions to integrate the clients technology into their customers applications to get access to the data required for optimisation
-Troubleshooting and resolving complex filed software problems that are escalated by other staff members
-Developing tools to replicate and troubleshoot issues
There will be a weekend shift rota (working from home) for one weekend in every 4 - there is a shift allowance to accommodate this.
Requirements:
-2.1 equivalent ideally from a relevant subject such as IT or Physics
-A strong technical knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Post-gres, MySQL or Oracle)
-You must be comfortable working with Python or Perl
-You need to be service orientated so any customer services experience or previous support experience would be considered a bonus
-You need to be a clear and confident communicator who is able to work with a certain degree or autonomy.
