Our client is a leading supplier of global financial trading software. The company has offices in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong with development centres located in each major region. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is globally renowned for its financial software products. Their applications are sold in all of the world's major financial centres to top-tier investment banks.
When combined with the implementation skills of more than 150 experienced specialists, the company's trading platform has become the natural choice for the majority of the world's top tier investment banks.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Based in the client services division of this firm, you will be responsible for supporting the client's customer base. The role involves working closely with other departments and providing a seamless and effective technical support service for their clients.
The Support department comprises of lots of specialist teams and your role as a Technical Support Analyst will have a focus in one of the areas below:
- Data; All aspects of static and market data, user permissions, developing stronger SQL and database knowledge.
- Trading Platforms; Specialist knowledge within specific application components.
- Exchange connectivity.
Day to day duties will vary depending on the team but will include:
- Investigating and resolving reported issues.
- Communicating updates effectively and promptly to the customers.
- Building up knowledge of the company's database structure, configuring files etc. to assist in issue investigations.
- Assisting in dealing with unexpected events.
Requirements:
- 2.2 level or above in an IT related subject.
- Clear communication skills.
- Be able to remain calm under pressure.
- Good grounding and a desire to develop technical skills such as database and SQL knowledge, or coding such as TCLTK and FIX.
