Our client is a global software house. They produce software that enables their customers to manage their corporate finance - investment and treasury management. They have been in business for over thirty years and their clients include many well-known corporations and investment banks. They have a proud record of staff retention, training and development.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Product Management team. This team are responsible for all communication to clients and end users of the range of products the company offers. You will be responsible for producing clear and concise documentation that will be used by both internal colleagues and clients alike.
The role requires a strong understanding of the end user and the use of the software. You will undergo a period of training where you learn about the software and how treasury departments operate. This will include some external training. You will have many internal contacts but also be encouraged to talk to clients to understand how they use the software in order to document it.
Specific tasks will include:
- Production and maintenance of the online user guides
- Production and maintenance of other key documentation (release notes, system module guides etc.)
- Monitoring of system changes to ensure all functionality is documented ? includes regular update meetings with development teams
- Create and send regular internal company communication for all Software releases (Major releases and Monthly Service Packs), Development Sprint Updates and Product Management News
- Production of audio visual material ? Demonstration videos for major releases and one-off sales support videos
- Maintenance of the Product Management and Product Documentation SharePoint portals
- Maintenance of the Product Image Library
- The identification and implementation of improvements to all communication media
In order to apply candidates should:
- Have gained a 2:1 or above in a writing related subject from a top tier university
- Have an interest in both Technology and Finance
- Have an excellent standard of communication in written English
- Have a demonstrable interest in different forms of communication
- Be a self-starter who can demonstrate strong initiative and drive
- Have an excellent understanding of MS Office particularly Word and PowerPoint
It would also be advantageous (although by no means essential) if applicants have prior knowledge of:
- Html
- MS SharePoint
- Knowledge of authoring software (Robohelp)
- An eye for graphic design and detail in general
