This company is a conference and business intelligence organisation, offering specialist business conferences and publishing in the engineering and IT sectors.
This role provides a brilliant opportunity to use your finely honed research, analytical and communication skills to support a fast growing conference company to deliver world class events. They are currently expanding their product portfolio and entering new international markets, meaning they require a graduate with the drive to deliver tailored events focusing on Engineering, IT and Product Development.
As a Conference Producer, you will work closely with the Conference Director and will be responsible for delivering a consistent stream of high quality case-study based content. They are a close knit team with an excellent reputation who are looking for a likeminded, ambitious and entrepreneurial graduate to join the company. They will reward initiative and hard work, and offer a relaxed working environment.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Researching key industry trends and developing both conference and webinar agendas.
- Understanding delegate needs and identifying case studies and content which addresses those issues.
- Researching companies and organisations to identify potential speakers.
- Calling C-Level professionals from major blue chip companies to confirm them as speakers.
- Tapping into existing networks and building your own to develop close relationships with key industry thought leaders.
- Assisting the Conference Producer in crafting compelling event agendas.
- Managing competing timelines and working to ensure speakers are booked and presentation materials are available to maximise promotional impact.
- Working with, and delivering briefs to departmental teams (marketing, delegate and sponsorship sales, management).
- Researching hot topics and exciting industry trends, and identifying potential areas for new events.
- Writing post event reports and analysis.
Requirements:
- 2:2 or above; ideally in Engineering, IT, Product Development or related degrees.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and research skills.
- Excellent phone manner, articulate and persuasive with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Solid knowledge of basic Microsoft IT packages (Office, Excel)
- Education, interest or experience in engineering, PLM, data management, product development or industrial design.
Desired Skills:
- A second language (esp. German, French, Portuguese).
- Graphic design skills e.g. CAD, SolidWorks etc.
