My client is a well known and strong leader in the development and provision of trading and financial software environments for specialist distribution, wholesale, merchant and retail industry sectors.

Its software is able to help its clients increase profit potential, improve efficiency, reduce cost, provide superior customer service and gain visibility and control across their organisation.

My client is seeking to appoint a graduate to work as a Technical Analyst. The successful applicant will be joining the office based Software Support Team at the company headquarters in West Berkshire.

They are looking for a candidate that is interested in applying their programming skills in a customer service role. Excellent problem solving, communication and customer care skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be working in a busy team environment resolving customer issues using analytical and programming skills. The individual will need to be highly motivated, pro-active and adaptable. Full training will be provided.

The candidate must:

-Be able to investigate unfamiliar problems and generate an effective solution in a systematic and logical manner
-Have excellent customer care and strong interpersonal skills
-Project a professional image
-Be adaptable and work as an effective member of a team
-Be organised and manage own workload efficiently
-Maintain a professional standard of communication at all levels
-Work conscientiously and use initiative
-Be calm under pressure and manage stressful situations
-Adopt a positive, pro-active approach to work

Requirements:

-Experience in a customer-focused role in a service oriented environment
-A Computer Science degree, or degree with a large element of computing, or equivalent qualification
-A good knowledge of a structured programming language, preferably C, VB or Java
-An understanding of databases
