This niche company has developed a leading technology portfolio addressing the needs of the global nanoelectronics sector. They deliver practical nano-materials and technologies to the semiconductor, renewable energy and clean technology industries.
As a graduate engineer you will be responsible for facility uptime including hardware (plasma CVD reactors), control software configuration and maintenance on research equipment, including production and research cluster platforms used for nanomaterial development.

You will be working in a clean facility with advanced nanomaterials deposition systems and analytical equipment used in the growth and characterisation of these materials.
The job is varied, presenting the opportunity to get involved and make a difference at all levels of the organisation. You will be working with highly complex, multi-chamber plasma deposition systems that require planned maintenance on control, vacuum, plasma generation and robot handling systems, as well as occasional trouble-shooting and fault finding.
Requirements:
- A good degree in a related engineering subject such as mechanical or electrical engineering, vacuum technology or control systems engineering. Minimum grade 2:1
- Strong A-levels, with a minimum of B grades or equivalent
- Strong CAD skills
- Dynamic and outgoing personality with a strong desire to succeed in a commercial research organisation
- You will be very hands-on with the ability to work with complex scientific equipment
- Strong problem solving skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to organise and prioritise your own work ? at times you will have to set your own tasks and manage your own time efficiently
- Ability to communicate at all levels, using various media, including phone and email
- Good written and oral communications skills, including clear fluency in English
- Ability to work with computer based documentation systems such as Excel, Word and Power Point etc.
