Their portfolio of clients covers diverse areas such as National Security and the Public Sector, through to commercial industries such as Telecommunications, Utilities and Pharmaceuticals. Their services include business consulting, software and hardware development, technical consultancy and complex data analytics work.
My client is looking to hire a Graduate Test Analyst to join one of their core product teams. The role is based in Guildford, although occasional travel to the London offices may also be required.
They are looking for a self-driven individual who is able to organise their time effectively and can demonstrate a flexible but methodical approach.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining test scripts and test data in line with product functionality.
- Executing functional and non-functional (manual and automated) tests of web-based J2EE applications using Quality Center.
- Installing and configuring test environments.
- Creating and maintaining automated test scripts- tools (using Perl, Java).
- Preparing and maintaining test plans for use on automated testing tools.
- Raising defects and working with developers to ensure efficient resolution.
- Providing feedback to the development team and ensuring the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and quality requirements.
- Being pro-active in helping to improve the testing process.
- Testing high volume transactional systems.
Requirements:
- You must be available to start work immediately (Unfortunately the client isn't able to consider candidates in their final year).
- You need to have a passion for testing and be committed to a career in this area.
- You need to have obtained a 2.1 or above in a technical subject and have BCC or higher at A Level.
