This company is a classified world leader in air traffic control. Supplying both public and defence markets, they design and manufacture high quality products, tailored to the requirements of each individual client. Operating out of their UK site in Lincolnshire, they work in over 160 countries and supply to over 80 per cent of the world's aerospace and aviation markets.
Your day to day duties will be varied and include:
- Developing and supporting the clients product range - you will provide expertise in user interface development across a range of products, and develop other (non-user interface) enhancements to Windows based applications.
- The products deliver customised information to a variety of different user roles, using both mobile and fixed platforms. The role will be to design and implement software according to customer requirements.
- You will also be liaising with 3rd party software suppliers.
The client offers state-of-the-art, purpose-built offices which are easily commutable from Peterborough, Cambridge, London, Leicester, Lincoln and Nottingham. The area provides affordable low cost housing and rental property.
Essential Skills:
- 1st or Upper 2nd class degree in Software, Digital Communications or equivalent subject
- Good A Level (or equivalent) grade results and proven Maths competence
- Experience of C, Csharp or C++ programming languages
- Experience of any of the following would be an advantage: Linux development, HTML, Java, Javascript, ASP.NET, SQL, understanding of communications modulation techniques
- Previous work experience or a degree project involving significant software development would be an advantage
- Good problem solving skills
- Good communicator and planner
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Innovative thinker
The candidate should have an understanding, or experience, of the following:

- Operating systems
- Networks
- Embedded software development
- Digital Signal Processing techniques
