They are steadily expanded over the past few years and have ambitious growth plans. They supply speciality chemicals for both retail and trade customers. Across the business, they turned over a massive £13 Billion in 2010. In the next year, they are looking to grow even more and hire over 50 graduates across the company. We have placed 10 graduates with this company before so are fully aware of the process involved.
This is an Account Management position to join the sales team on a 2 year bespoke Graduate Development programme starting in September 2011. The sales team is at the leading edge of the business and key to driving future growth. You will deal with accounts at all levels from the UK's largest retailers to trade distributors and local retailers. The role does not focus on new business sales, rather it is geared more towards managing key accounts which the company have already won. You will therefore be a pivotal part of the team, growing and maintaining relationships. Although the role does involve sales, my client is not looking for candidates who wish to be on the phone all day long trying to win business and make deals ? it is more about management and overseeing the department's progress.
Being a rotational programme, you will gain exposure to the Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing and Financial departments of the business working with brand names such as Dulux, Hammerite, Cuprinol and Polyfilla with clients such as BandQ, Wickes, Homebase etc.
If successful, your training will take place in Holland on the Sales Academy Training Programme. This training is tailored to you dependant on what you wish to achieve and what your driving motivators are. Initially, you will be based in Slough with the potential to work internationally in the future. You will receive a package of £25-27k plus a company car. A driving license is therefore essential as you will be expected to drive to sites across the region.
Requirements:
- To hold or be expecting a minimum of a 2.1
- 280 UCAS points
- To hold a full driving licence
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Fluent in English
Ideally you will be free on the 18th and 19th of May as the company will take you out for a group introductory meal followed by an Assessment Day the day after.
