This is a busy role which will stretch and challenge you. After a six week induction and training period you will be a field based member of staff meeting clients daily to ensure they are happy with the products and service they are receiving from this global leader.
You will be first point of contact for local builders' merchants branches for new and existing customers and to provide support to Area Sales Managers as required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Daily visits to local merchants delivering company literature and checking stock levels
- Build and maintain customer relationships to protect and grow the Company's sales and position in the market
- To support the team of Area Sales Managers as required
- To seek new business opportunities to ensure future growth in existing and emerging markets
- Promote the product range, developing relationships and maintaining a level of direct contact with key companies not currently trading directly with the business.
This role is purely a platform for you to progress from. Progression within the company is not only encouraged but actively supported and this role will see you progress into an Area Sales Manager role.
Requirements:
- University degree at 2:2 or above (Business or Construction related degrees will be favoured)
- Excellent communication skills
- Outgoing with a positive attitude
- Great organisational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Full driving licence
- Flexible regarding location (NE England and Scotland is the area you will be covering)
