Job Title: Graduate Sales and Applications Engineer (Spanish Speaking)

Our client is the world's leading supplier of optics and opto-mechanics.

Our client's products are used in a variety of applications ranging from DNA sequencing to retinal eye scanning to high-speed factory automation. Their state of the art manufacturing capabilities combined with their global distribution network has earned them the position of the world's largest supplier of off-the-shelf optical components. Our client is the UK subsidiary of the USA parent, and is responsible for sales and distribution of products in Europe.

This varied role involves:

-Providing telephone, email, fax and website support to customers. This support includes responding to technical queries, providing technical information, providing price and delivery information, providing quotations and providing information on existing orders.
-Contacting customers to obtain orders or to extend existing orders.
-Helping with the maintenance of their Spanish website.
-Because our client is a small company there are a number of other tasks that the employee will be required to undertake from time to time.
-This role is based in the York office.

Essential Criteria for the role:

-Physics or Electronic Engineering degree or related
-Ideally be Spanish and speak fluent English or English with the ability to speak and understand Spanish fluently
-Posess strong communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
-Have a demonstrable high attention to detail
-Highly self motivated with a 'can do' atttitude to work
-Excellent IT skills
