This niche company has developed a leading technology portfolio addressing the needs of the global nanoelectronics sector. They deliver practical nano-materials and technologies to the semiconductor, renewable energy and clean technology industries.
This exciting opportunity allows you to work as a key member of a small team. You will be responsible for programming and operating a robotic arm to apply high-value, innovative coatings to a variety of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Additionally, you'll work with the research and development team to document your findings and hand-over manufacturing processes, as well as coordinating closely with operations management to drive continuous improvement in quality.
Responsibilities include:
Programming and safe operation of robotic (automated) spray equipment
Preparation of substrates to be coated, and accurate mixing of hazardous coating solutions
Loading, unloading and safe handling of parts and assemblies
Maintenance of safety protocols in segregated spray booth
Equipment maintenance and fault resolution
Data collection and analysis for continuous improvement
Degree in mechanical, electronic or robotic engineering (or closely related)
Driving licence
Automated machinery methods (CAM)
Ideally you will have a range of practical skills including; workshop skills (lathes, mills and CNC machining)
Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
Continuous improvement and use of data collection tools
