My client is a world leading retailer offering a diverse service to their customers.
Are you a highly analytical Graduate who would love the chance to apply your analysis skills in a real world setting? This is a great opportunity to work for one of the largest retailers in the world providing research and analysis into their store portfolio to really shape the future of the business.
You will be sitting in the Property Insight team, and working on multiple real world projects during this structured 12 month scheme. You will use your analytical skills to really understand their customers and property sites, and then report back your findings to managers and the wider business to influence real changes at store level.
The projects you work on will be very ad-hoc, and driven by business needs, but may include:
- Analysing loyalty card and sales data to gain a thorough understanding of customer demographics and shopping habits
- Building and amending forecasting models, used to predict how much individual stores will take in sales revenue
- Assessing and implementing store catchment areas, to be used in online shopping
- Using data analysis to predict the impact of competitor stores in certain geographical areas
The purpose of the scheme is to build the future leaders of the business, so you will be encouraged to take up a managerial position after the scheme, with a mind to progressing through the company quickly in the future.
Requirements:
You will be a highly numerical and analytical person, with a real passion for extracting meaning from data. You will have an interest in Retail, and any work experience you may have had in this sector would be highly beneficial (either at Head Office or store level).
You must:
- Have at least 240 UCAS points, and ideally have taken Maths at A-level
- Be on track for, or already have attained a 2:1 or above in a numerical subject such as Maths, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, Science or Engineering
- Be able to demonstrate strong leadership potential, from either work experience or extra-curricular activities
