A boutique Executive Search firm who specialise in sourcing top-end consumer marketing, retail trading and sales professionals on an exclusive basis to globally recognised organisations. They operate across the FMCG, retail, telecoms, consultancy and finance sectors. A diverse client base includes private organisations to FTSE 100 companies and governmental departments, with key clients being RBS, Sainsburys, Diageo, L'Oreal and GlaxoSmithKline. Typical roles that they have searched and recruited for include:

- Marketing Manager
- Brand Director
- Head of E-Commerce
- European Marketing Director
- Head of Marketing and Communications

They are a well-known and trusted firm who also offer board advisory services to clients who respect their market knowledge.

Following on from a record year in 2009, they are looking to grow the business further in 2010 and beyond.

The company is looking to grow from seven to ten in the immediate future, with two of the vacancies being at Graduate Researcher level. The company offers a tailor-made training solution within a busy team, where you will be learning first hand from the most highly regarding names within marketing executive search.

For each new assignment the company secures, at least one Researcher is needed in order to uncover all vital information which will lead to the identification of the most suitable candidates. You will be identifying target company departments and boards, establishing all known personnel including their duties, salary, time with company etc and carrying out referral checks to add weight to recommendations.

Given that this firm has already acquired substantial market knowledge within their sector, for every piece of research carried out you will already have a huge amount of the 'mapping out' work done for you. This means that you are able to focus on speaking to the right people and networking to get new names. For each project, the search usually takes eight weeks to shortlist.

The company have a very team-focused ethic. Every morning you will meet as a team to discuss research priorities and potential targets. The work is of a very high quality and attention to detail is crucial.

The basic salary for the role starts at £23k. There are discetionary bonuses which reward the quality of your work and at twelve months you can qualify for a pay review and for the official bonus scheme where you can earn an extra 30% of your basic salary.

We are considering those with ABB at A-level and a 2.1 from a traditional subject from a top 20 UK university or equivalent. We are more concerned with attitude than work experience.

The client will also be assessing:

- Your level of genuine interest in executive search
- Depth of business knowledge and commercial awareness
- Intellectual capacity with ability to grasp concepts quickly; you will need to think beyond traditional methods to exceed expectations
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to maintain professionalism and build credibility
- Highly organised and detailed with exceptional time management skills and willingness to deliver against deadlines
- Able to work autonomously but also willing to contribute to team objectives and react to changing circumstances.
