Our client is one of the world?s leading boutique executive search consultancies who operate exclusively in the Retail and Consumer industries. From their office in London they are able to utilise their unparalleled sector knowledge and global network of contacts to place the best candidates around the world at Director Level and above.
The company currently employs around 20 staff and boasts a fun, dynamic culture. They work across a number of sectors including retail, consumer goods, luxury, fashion, travel and leisure and have successful relationships with clients such as Harrods, Apple, Gap, Nike, Jamie Oliver, Innocent Drinks etc.
The main purpose of the role is to act as a 'knowledge manager', ensuring that the company has up-to-date and relevant knowledge in its sectors. You will work in conjunction with Consultants and Researchers, as well as Marketing and Admin to disseminate this information appropriately. The ideal candidate will have experience in an office environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
News and Magazines:
-Compile the daily news bulletin from a variety of online sources
-Highlight and input relevant names from all industry publications
-Flag articles of interest for Consultants e.g. information on clients, competitors, clients' competitors, warm leads, opportunities for new business development, industry trends etc.
Company Research:
-Compile documents for Consultants, including information on target companies such as financial data, background, recent news, biographies, scope of business etc.
-Compile biographies on attendees of events
-Help Consultants map out sectors and gaps in the market in order to target them for new business development purposes.
Marketing:
-Find relevant articles
-Find information that can promote the business
-Monitor the press and Web for mention of the business
Desk Research:
-Mapping projects for new sector territory
-Assist Researchers in identifying and desk profiling appropriate candidates for roles
-Draw up company target lists based on geography, sector, turnover and other relevant criteria
-Make Consultants aware of the best practitioners in various sectors, as judged by conferences etc.
Requirements:
-2:1 or above from a top 20 University
-As and Bs at A Level
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and friendly manner
-Experience in an office environment a bonus
