This firm is headquartered in Europe and produces analysis and advice specifically for high-tech vendors operating in the European market in addition to market data, forecasts and trends analysis at a worldwide level.
My client is looking for a Research Analyst for the mobile services team. The successful candidate will be analysing technology and market trends across smart phones, mobile phones and mobile apps. The successful applicant will assist in tracking new product launches, monitoring sales and pricing. This role will also involve analysing market and technology trends.
Main responsibilities:
- Conduct quarterly product sales tracking in the specific markets covered.
- Produce quarterly forecasts for the specific markets and technology covered.
- Keep up to date with and analyse the latest market and technology trends.
- Track new product launches and pricing changes.
- Attend briefings, meetings, trade shows, product launches and conferences, which may include some foreign travel.
- Conduct web and telephone research to update and compile databases.
- Provide written and verbal responses to client enquiries.
- Write short, topical, opinion-led analyst reports.
The essential skills are as follows:
- Minimum degree of 2.1 or above in a numerate degree, e.g. Maths, Economics or related
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in mobile phone technology
- Good quantitative research skills
- Ability to show initiative and contribute own ideas and opinions
- Good Excel skills
- Fluency in another European language.
