My client is a leader in global food ingredients and flavours markets, and a leading branded consumer foods processing and marketing organisation in selected EU markets.

My client is looking to hire a Graduate Raw Materials Technologist to work in their meats and savoury provisions department.

Your day to day duties will be varied and include the following tasks:

-Ensure raw material specifications are correct and up to date (Meat and Ingredients).
-Ensure raw materials are being inspected in line with the requirements of the specification through a co-ordinated system of auditing.
-Ensure all non-conformances are accurately recorded on vendor plating AQL sheet (fresh meats) and monthly non-conformance sheet (fresh and frozen meats).
-Ensure all raw materials are sampled in accordance with the raw materials sampling plan.
-Ensure all non-conformances are raised with the supplier, recorded on VRS and corrective actions initiated with the supplier to resolve non-conformances.
-Undertake HACCP and GMP audits of yard intake and fridges.
-Undertake random audits of raw materials used during processing ensuring all non-conformances are recorded on non-conformance sheet- AQL system and highlighted to suppliers to initiate corrective actions.
-Become a fully trained Site Supplier Auditor. Audit raw materials suppliers in accordance with the supplier approval program, liaise on a regular basis with suppliers and ensure any corrective actions highlighted during audits are implemented according to agreed timescales.

Requirements:

-Relevant experience within the food industry (fast moving environment)
-QA Auditing experience (GMP's, Glass Audits)
-Knowledge of HACCP principles
-Highly numerate and literate
-Methodical eye for detail
-Interpersonal skills
-Problem solving and analytical skills
-PC literate - competent on IT systems (MS Office, E mail, Intranet, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Intermediate Level)
