This company provide the Rail industry with a number of niche and specialist service for rolling stock vehicles. With continued growth and a recent huge project to support the production of an entire brand new fleet of electric and diesel trains for operators in the North of England, they are looking to expand their team.
Working on a project where you'll be an integral part of the development and implementation of an entire, brand new fleet of trains is an incredibly rare and invaluable opportunity.
The company are looking for up to 3 graduates to support them with this internationally collaborative project, whereby you'll be working with a globally renowned Spanish manufacturer of high tech rolling stock alongside component manufacturers from all across Europe.
Whilst being guided by the senior engineers, you'll be responsible for the design and writing of the interactive maintenance manuals for every aspect of the new fleet.
In summary you'll be involved with:
- Travelling to client sites across Europe to discuss the implementation and maintenance of everything from engines and hydraulics to lighting and air-conditioning
- Translating the individual component instructions to create access, repair and removal guidelines for the components when they are in-situ, within the train
- Compiling and producing the final interactive manual for production and use across the entire fleet
You'll be under the guidance of the senior engineers throughout the project but they want to give you as much independence as possible so both you and the project can develop quickly.
You're unlikely to come across another opportunity like this, where you will be gaining knowledge of the entire workings of rolling stock. The insight you will gain will equal years worth of industry experience and will put you in a incredible position for your future career.
