Our client is the British market leader in the manufacture of perimeter security equipment. They offer a complete range of services including design, installation, maintenance, repair and full project management. They have equipment installed in more than 85 countries worldwide.

Our client's products include barriers, bollards, gates, road blockers and turnstiles, all of which are available with a wide range of control options. Their sales advisors, design and production teams work closely together in order to design the best equipment in the market.

This role will be working as part of the Operations team dealing with the arranging of breakdowns and repairs of equipment across the country. You will need to produce, chase and action quotes. The job will involve liaising with engineers and clients, and organizing repairs to provide a quick, efficient service. The role will also include being the point of contact for a key client and dealing with all their needs and may require site visits for large projects.

Due to the company's size you will be treated as an individual, not a cog in a large machine, and you'll have as much responsibility as you can handle right from the start. Manufacturing on site, you will gain experience quickly in all aspects of their products and everything that supports their processes. In a fast pace environment you'll be running your own projects, making site visits and meeting customers - anyone from the security guard to the director.

Essential skills and qualifications:

- Able to demonstrate practical basic engineering knowledge gained either through an industrial placement, degree or project work.
- Able to use Windows based packages, email, internet etc.
- Able to communicate in a clear, concise, logical manner both verbally and in writing.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail and have an excellent memory.
- Ability to deal with multiple issues under time pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to converse at all levels and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Ability to think commercially as well as technically.
- At least a 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- A full driving license would be an advantage.
