My client provides technology solutions to companies within a variety of industries including Science, Aerospace, Defence, commercial and industrial markets. Their HQ is in the UK and they have facilities across Europe and North America. They are listed on the London Stock market.
This Graduate Scheme position is to start early September and is initially on a 24 month contract, with 6 and 3 month rotations. Based in the rapidly expanding imaging department you will be directly involved in the RandD, testing and supply of high quality custom imaging sensors to an interesting client base. You will work on the project from start to finish, experiencing different company departments and working for an international company and there is scope to travel to see your projects being implemented.
Key duties include:
- Ensure test related sections of customer documents are appropriately defined
- Communicate technical information to internal and external interested parties (written and verbal) in style relevant to the audience
- Define and develop suitable regimes for the characterisation and test of devices, according to the customer's requirement
- Further the group's understanding of CCD, CMOS and related aspects through research led investigations and improvement projects
- Project planning systems; ensuring all allocated tasks are updated weekly and feedback where appropriate.
Essential skills for the role include:
- To hold a minimum of a 2:1 in Physics, Astrophysics, Materials Science, Electronic Engineering or a related subject
- Ideally you will have an interest, relevant modules or experience in solid state, semiconductors, opto-electronics, imaging etc
- Due to the sensitive nature of my client's work you have to be a UK national and hold a British passport
