Brighton-based boutique headhunting company, with a pedigree in selecting high-calibre professionals across a handful of niche markets.

Nearly all of the placements this company make are for permanent positions paying in excess of £70k, twenty per cent of which are in the £150-250k bracket.

The company has an ambitious growth strategy centred around the graduate scheme. Ultimately, the plan is to grow the business to 30 successful revenue-generating consultants over the next five years.

This is a chance to work closely with one of my client's more senior consultants, who has experience in running large teams and training graduates. Full mentorship will be given internally and successful candidates will also benefit from the expertise of a local recruitment training and development company.

You will be responsible for all tasks relating to the recruitment of senior level professionals within areas such as supply chain, government and defence, consulting, technology and outsourcing. The company have strong relationships with a number of global blue-chip businesses. You will be using your sales skills to identify and attract candidates via word-of-mouth referrals and networking rather than through advertising on job-boards. After about six months into the training you will be looking develop relationships with recruitment decision makers and will be starting the process of progressing into a full recruitment consultant role.

The basic salary for this position is negotiable, depending on experience. First year earnings should be at least £30k for recruiters who are meeting revenue targets.

Academic preference is for graduates with a degree of at least a 2.1 classification. As the position is sales-based, candidates will need to demonstrate high levels of articulation, relationship-building, persuasive skills and resilience in the pre-screening process.
