My client is a UK leading manufacturing firm, specialising in investment castings. Using the best raw materials and very thorough processes they have seen great success allowing their business to grow and grow since they were established in the early 1970's.
This is a new position now available due to company expansion. Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics manager you will assist in a number of important areas.
The role will involve:
-Reviewing and distributing production schedules to the manufacturing facility
-Monitoring schedules and report deviations to supervisors
-Following up and monitoring of weekly stock control and customer orders
-Liaise with suppliers in China and to customers to ensure delivery and production schedules are on track
-Administration assistance for Quality Assurance and Operations
There will be opportunity to take on more responsibility within the role and may lead to you travelling to clients sites and potentially to the suppliers in China.
Requirements:
-Business Studies degree 2:1 or above
-A levels in related subjects such as Maths, Economics etc, B grades minimum
-You must have Maths B and English C at GCSE
-Very comfortable using all aspects of MS Office
-Excellent communication skills
-Confidence working in a team environment
