This business is one of Europe's leading food companies. They employ over 10,000 people in both the UK and Ireland, and supply produce to all the major UK supermarkets.
Are you passionate about leading and developing people?
Are you always looking for ways to improve efficiency?
Are you looking for a hands-on graduate scheme with a wealth of responsibility?
This highly successful and national food company is looking for their future business leaders to join their 2016 Operations Graduate Scheme. In this two year scheme you will rotate around the company's numerous factories and food production sites, managing projects to improve efficiency and implement continuous improvement methods. You will be given a lot of responsibility, and really be working at the front line of the business, helping to push it forward.
People management will also be a major part of your role. You will work alongside senior staff members such as Production Managers and Section Leaders, and you will often get the opportunity to lead a team of up to 50 production staff on site. You will be required to lead and coach your team in order to improve factory performance.
This is a great 'future leaders' scheme, and will give you a fantastic opportunity to really progress within the company - at the end of the scheme you could take on a managerial position and really build your career from there.
The most important thing is that you must have strong leadership skills and a real passion for managing teams and developing performance. You will need examples of your leadership potential from extra-curricular activities or work experience.
You must also have:
- A 2:2 equivalent (predicted or achieved) from your chosen degree subject
- Great communication skills and confidence with public speaking
- An interest in FMCGs or Food and the desire to progress within this sector
This is a rotational scheme through multiple sites in both England and Ireland, so you must be geographically mobile. A full driving licence would also be highly beneficial.
