Online retail is a fast growing and progressive business sector. This role would suit a graduate who has a genuine interest in online product management. The successful graduate will be responsible for enhancing the online customer experience, managing products online and setting up promotions. You will be working closely with e-commerce, marketing and product category teams. The fast moving nature of the sector means that there is great potential for personal development within this growing multi-channel team.
Principal Accountabilities
- Build strong working relationships with other areas of the business, e.g. Category and Communications Teams.
- To provide full administrative support to the Online Merchandising Manager and Assistant Online Merchandisers in the set-up of new lines, accelerator and site admin console.
- Maintain the online product range, sourcing and setup of all product attributes, images, specifications, alt tags, product association and attachments to meet site standards.
- Proactively source product information to enhance product content through category teams and external partners to ensure all new lines are live before store launch.
- Write and edit web copy to ensure copy is SEO and customer friendly. Work closely with Assistant Online Merchandisers and Natural Search Manager to develop and enhance SEO content.
- Setup and activate promotions online to ensure consistency with in-store promotional events. Work closely to replicate store offer online, through product carousels and promotional text.
- Manage customer question database, answering questions with category input and enhancing product page content to reflect customer feedback.
- Act as the initial contact for the e-commerce customer service team to deal with any customer queries and issues.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of SEO and web copy writing an advantage
- Experience of a content management system and HTML an advantage
- Good PC and literacy skills, familiarity with web terminology preferable
- Good organisational skills ? able to prioritise and plan own workload
- Self Motivated ? show initiative and able to work under pressure
- Effective communicator ? able to communicate with all levels of the business
- Of graduate calibre with interest of working within a multi-channel environment
