Our client is the leading independent environmental consultancy in the UK with a total of 55 multi-disciplinary offices located throughout Europe. Their professional services cover a broad range of integrated multi-disciplines on a wide range of environmental disciplines, covering such diverse areas as town planning, waste management, transport planning, impact assessment, engineering design and asset, resource and risk management issues. They assist SMEs and large companies, financial institutions, property developers, governments and many public sector organisations and NGOs. Founded nearly 40 years ago, our client is fully listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a market leader in the support services sector.
You will be joining a well-established team of Consultants within this FTSE 250 company in the risk management division. You will be based in Warrington, a hub of Nuclear Energy activity in the UK, hence the projects you will be working on will have a strong nuclear focus. Training will be provided and in addition to this you are encouraged and assisted to pursue chartered status.
Core areas of your work as Graduate Consultants will include:
- Hazard identification
- Fire and explosion engineering
- Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment
- Safety case development
- Consequence analysis
- Safety management systems
- Frequency analysis
- Safety culture
- ARM analysis
- Individual, group and organisational behaviour and performance
- Functional safety

My client is seeking graduates with:
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- A minimum of a 2:1 in an Engineering or Physics degree
- MSc in Process Safety or similar qualifications will be particularly advantageous
- A-levels in Maths and Physics
Due to the nature of the work undertaken, these posts are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore are only open to British Citizens (as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981). All selected candidates will also be required to undergo a security clearance.
