Our client is the British market leader in the manufacture of perimeter security equipment. They offer a complete range of services including design, installation, maintenance, repair and full project management. They have equipment installed in more than 85 countries worldwide.

Our client's products include barriers, bollards, gates, road blockers and turnstiles, all of which are available with a wide range of control options. Their sales advisors, design and production teams work closely together in order to design the best equipment in the market.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated graduate able to demonstrate an outstanding track record of delivering innovation within predetermined mandates. You will have a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail while delivering clear and accurate designs on time and within budget constraints. You will have a good working knowledge of Industry Standards associated with the design, manufacture and installation of welded steel structures. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work with static and dynamic applications particularly up to five tonnes, as well as perform stress analysis calculations on steel structures; further to this a credible knowledge of mechanisms and hydraulic circuits would be a distinct advantage. As an exceptional communicator you will be able to interface at all levels within the business. You will also be fully conversant with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Solid Works.

The successful candidate will be trained to take a leading role in the design and development of perimeter security equipment including high security products.

Applicants should have an interest in stress analysis, steel fabrication, operations and manufacturing.

Essential skills and qualifications:

- Minimum 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Computer literate; AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Solid Works.
- Ability to deal with multiple issues under time pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, accurately and methodically under pressure.
- Ability to think commercially as well as technically.
- Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
- Able to pass a low level of security clearance.
