Our client is a high quality fresh food company, who deliver produce to businesses all over the UK. Owned by a huge international parent company, and with a turnover of over £100 million, they are growing rapidly year on year.
This is a fantastic and unique opportunity to manage a huge project for a successful yet close-knit food company. You will be tasked with launching their entire e-commerce platform - a project which should take around 18 months to 2 years. You will start the project on your own, but will be able to build a team around you as it progresses.
The company has all the technical aspects of their e-commerce platform already built by their parent company, but it has never been rolled out in the UK before, and this is where you come in. You will take on full responsibility to manage the rollout, ensuring it happens smoothly in the business. You will be required to travel a lot to the company's numerous depots as well as to the offices of all their food suppliers, building relationships and tweaking aspects of the platform to make it as effective as possible.
You will have a lot of autonomy and responsibility in the role, and can work either from a depot or from home.
The key things our client is looking for are passion and enthusiasm. You do not need any previous relevant work experience - it is more important that you are ready to work hard and really get stuck into the project. A 2:2 and above degree in a subject like Business, Marketing or Communications is preferred, but all degree disciplines will be considered. A love for food is a must though, as is an interest in all things online.
Due to the level of travel involved in this position, you must have a full UK driving licence in order to apply.
