Executive Search firm with an enviable reputation on an international scale. This company aids the recruitment of boardroom level and front office executives in prestigious financial services organisations. They have offices in London, Tokyo, Stockholm and Dubai.
They are currently the exclusive supplier to a select number of financial organisations, placing senior, director, MD and VP level candidates in six-figure (sometimes seven figure) salaries. Fees for their service are based upon the salary level so each project is often worth in excess of £100,000.
The company have an immediate opening for a Researcher to work within the Legal and Compliance recruitment team, who specialise in placing £50k-200k candidates into vacancies from Associate to Global Head within US, European and Japanese investment banks.
The role of a Researcher is multi-functional and in the beginning is in support of the company's existing Consultants. For each executive assignment you will be at the front end of the researching process. This means that as part of a project team you will be:
- Assessing the client's needs and providing a detailed outline of the type of candidate that would be 'best fit'.
- Carrying out market intelligence reports to identify target companies and candidates.
- Tracking down suitable candidates through networking and cold-calling.
- Selling the concept of a move to the potential candidate.
The basic salary for the role starts at £25k and there can be movement for those with 12 months experience within finance or recruitment. The company offer bonuses every four months based on individual performance and also an annual bonus based on company performance. The basic salary is reviewed every six months.
You must hold a 2.1 degree from a top 20 UK university or equivalent and ideally with a legal focus. ABB at A-level is the minimum standard.
Given the nature of the research, you must be able to prove that you have attention to detail. As the majority of the research is phone-based you will need to prove that you are hard-working, persuasive, influential and confident in speaking to new people. The company is looking for those who will succeed on the research side but also those who will be able to develop new relationships with new clients. Therefore you will need to be a confident public speaker. As the company is looking for future leaders we welcome those with an entrepreneurial streak.
