My client have been trading now for over 10 years and have undergone steady growth. They develop software for embedded systems using Agile techniques focusing on high end clients in Avionics, Automotive and Medical sectors.
As well as working for the client, you will be supported and working alongside a leading university.

My client is looking for a highly motivated graduate to take the lead role on an exciting project to develop an embedded software system in an Agile environment. You will be supported by, and work alongside a leading university during the project which will lead to further qualifications.

Key Duties include:
- Review process management within embedded software development, Agile methodologies and SQA standards
- Undertake an in-depth analysis of the current software development and quality processes
- Research appropriate metrics for development process, analyse software, hardware and interface requirements. Develop SQA methodology, processes, audits and controls to ISO standard
- Revise prototype development and SQA processes, using information gathered previously and establish a process management database to track projects
- Establish continuous improvement cycle through refinement of metrics through to live projects
- Incorporate customer interfaces into the process management system for audit trail
- Develop PR material to raise customer awareness of the new process management SQA systems and promote via customer channels
- Fully document and staff trained to embed the new systems and SQA procedures
This is initially a 3 year project with the option to carry on working for the company after the project ends.

Essential skills include:
- To hold a minimum of a 2:1 in Computer Science, IT, Computing, Computer Informatics, Quality Systems, Business Information Management, Electronics or related
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Exposure to software development, embedded systems design, business systems modelling or quality assurance practices. This can be either from your degree, work placement or internship.
- Good problem solving skills
- Demonstrable self motivation
