This company is the UK's leading specialist Business, Analytical and IT consultancy, they employ over 1500 people. Their portfolio of clients covers diverse areas such as National Security and the Public Sector, through to commercial industries such as Telecommunications, Utilities and Pharmaceuticals. Their services include business consulting, software and hardware development, technical consultancy and complex data analytics work.
Opportunities available in early-mid 2012. You must have already graduated to be considered for these opportunities.
You will be working as a Software Developer on a wide range of software development projects, finding cutting edge technology solutions that will be utilised by this company's wide ranging and well known client base.
You could become involved in a vast array of projects, so you'll need to be flexible and adept at managing a changing workload. Whichever route you wish to take, it's vital that you possess a strong background in a relevant subject and that you have a genuine interest in development, perhaps spending your spare time finding out more about a topic of interest.
You will be given responsibility to deliver on a client project which could include:
- Contributing to the design and development of quality software solutions within a project plan, helping to address challenging IT and security requirements
- Delivering on infrastructure and hardware projects or be responsible for testing solutions for your clients
- Software development (using Java, C, C++ and Csharpe) or Software Application Support Analysis (offering third-line support and application management to clients)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2:1 degree (in a Computer Science or related numerate degree)
- Strong GCSE's including A's or B's in English and Maths; as well as at least 3 A-levels at grade A and B (equating to 320 UCAS points) or equivalent.
- High level of numeracy and literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self motivated with ability to work on own initiative
- Effective problem solving and organisation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Able to work flexible hours as required and be prepared to travel throughout the UK
- Passionate about software and technology
