The aim of this role will be to advance to a CIPD qualified, HR specialist.
So how does it work?
The first year is all about coaching! With one on one training and mentoring you will be learning all about the HR function and its place within the wider business. You will be assisting in a project to process map existing processes within the HR team, seeking to identify possible efficiencies that can be made, putting forward proposals for improvement, and supporting the implementation of new ways of working.
Progressing to your second year, you will get chance to further cultivate and implement the tools learnt in your first year in a project which is focused on improving Siniat's employer brand, reviewing its profile, and raising awareness through varied communication channels, targeting varied markets.
You will also get the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of recruitment; from raising the bar on talent, supporting the coordination of recruitment including interviews, assessment centres etc. as well as responsibility for systems related to the recruitment process. Additionally you will be involved in a project to improve HR's communication within the wider business, liaising with the Marketing department to improve the intranet.
Increasing responsibility and challenges further, your third year will include, supporting the Learning and Development Manager in reviewing the training needs for the business and reviewing the induction process for all new starters to the business. You will also be part of a project reviewing the company's reward and benefits, as well as attending HR seminars and gaining a thorough understanding of employment and contract law.
Requirements:
- Degree in a Business, HR or Psychology course; ideally a 2:1 (or equivalent)
- 3 A-levels or equivalent with at least 2 at grade B or above
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- We are looking for individuals who are analytical, influential, process focused and outgoing
- Intermediate skills in Excel are essential, as is an understanding of social media tools
- Driving licence
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Admin and office based experience
