My client is a health consultancy.
As a health consultancy my client works with pharmaceutical companies, the NHS and smaller bio companies creating models. They are looking for a Maths or Statistics graduate who has a passion for modelling and ideally would have completed a module in medical statistics or mathematical biology.
Role Objectives:
- Involvement in the development of proposed model methodologies, data collection and analysis
- Development of health models, including cost-effectiveness models
- Input into the write up of model methods
- Model design, data collection, spreadsheet development, liaison with in-house programmers and graphic designers, and development of supporting documentation including business cases, user guides and training materials
- The timely delivery of high quality projects
The essential skills for this role include:
- A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics
- A high level of numeracy
- Ideally a module in Mathematical Biology or Medical Statistics
- Initiative and problem-solving ability
- A working knowledge of Excel and an aptitude for health economic modelling
- Ability to cope with competing demands
- A team player with a high level of self-motivation and a positive 'can-do' attitude
