This company is a leading multi-service recruitment firm which has been placing executive talent into all areas of finance since 1989 in permanent and contract positions. They have over 40 employees on the recruitment team and additional back-office and support staff. This is a smart, professional organisation that takes pride in their quality of service to clients in the UK and Western Europe.
There is an open vacancy for a Researcher who will be focused on finding senior candidates for roles within Front Office Banking. You will work on a range of vacancies in the £50-200k mark, which means most placements are made using headhunting and executive search techniques.
You will be responsible for:
- Market mapping; creating your own network of candidates using key search techniques. Using creative approaches to map markets and provide clients with complete coverage of the market.
- Headhunting; working through recommendation and referral through your senior network, you will be building relationships with senior individuals on a daily basis.
- Research; you will become an expert in your field through detailed research in your specialist area, researching your clients and candidates and keeping up to date with market knowledge.
- Interviewing; you will be required to interview candidates, both on the phone and face to face prior to their introductions to your clients.
At this end of the market it is usual for Researchers to make the transition into Consultants within 12-18 months, which means moving into dealing with clients on new business generation and offer management. The starting basic salary is £25k which is very competitive. Researchers can earn commission through generating candidates, getting candidates to interview and ultimately placing candidates. A reasonable earning potential for year one is £30-35k based on previous successful hires.
