Our client acquires and manages insurance and reinsurance companies and provides management, consulting and other services to the insurance and reinsurance industry.

An opportunity has arisen to join the organisation as a Finance Trainee. This rotational role will see you exposed to different areas of the business playing a key part in business critical projects. It is expected that you will develop an understanding of all the core activities undertaken by the business and you may also have the opportunity to study towards a related professional qualification if it is beneficial to the needs of the business.

As part of the role it is likely that you will be exposed to:

- Processing and reconciling payments and assisting with account migration
- Report writing
- Understanding data, extraction and analysis
- Supporting senior management with inspections, reviews, data and documentary analysis
- Ad hoc projects

It is essential that you are interested in corporate insurance, re-insurance and insurance run-off. Candidates must also be flexible in their approach to work as the projects that you will be exposed to will be varied in their size and nature.

In order to apply candidates:

- Should have achieved or be on course for a 2:1 in their chosen degree
- Must have a flexible approach to which projects they are working on and the timeframes
- Have the ability to communicate effectively in both written form and verbally
- Be PC literate - strong Excel skills are essential
- Must have effective business intelligence
- Must have a strong desire to work in Insurance or Reinsurance.
- Must have the capability to independently manage workloads to ensure prioritized assignments are completed within agreed timeframes
