Job Title: Graduate Finance Assistant

With well over 200 UK stores, my client is one of the largest electrical goods retailers in the UK. Coupled with internet shopping and home delivery services, they employ several thousand staff and operate across Europe.

The successful graduate will manage all financial aspects for the team, including raising income from suppliers and monitoring performance against targets. You will also work closely with suppliers to resolve discrepancies within agreed timescales.

Key Accountabilities:
- To control the billing process for all supplier contributions.
- To reconcile all invoices, working with supplier account teams to resolve.
- To work with internal finance team and be the first point of contact.
- Control invoice and credit notes.
- Update category team of current financial position against target and forecast, both income and expenditure.
- To support the category team in finance related ad hoc work as required.
- To review supplier performance against related rebate targets.


Requirements:
- A 2.1 or above in your chosen degree discipline.
- Relevant analytical work experience within an office environment.
- Must really enjoy a role that is admin, process, and efficiency driven.
- PC literate with the ability to produce accurate spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Numerate and be able to demonstrate an analytical approach.
- Good organiser, able to plan, think ahead and work to deadlines.
- Good eye for detail producing accurate information at all times.
- Must be able to work on your own when, equally must be a team player.
- Must project a mature and level-headed attitude in order to gain credibility with suppliers and internal departments.
